Error code F138 is what’s called a “mechanical error.” That means a part in your machine, like a hose or a pump, is defective, which then leads to the error.
“Waterproof” means a sensor has stopped the wash program because water has gotten into the base tray of your machine. This usually happens when there’s a leak inside the washing machine, for example if one of the hoses has been damaged by hairpins, coins, or something similar.

Just keep washing despite F138? Better not! A Waterproof error almost always has a clear cause inside the machine. So if a hose is leaking, you risk more leaks and possibly flooding your home.
But don’t worry. At Repartly, our goal is to lower repair costs and help you solve your problems. Our video guide walks you through the repair of your washing machine step by step, so the Waterproof error will soon be a thing of the past.
